The German Civil Code (BGB) assigns parents the duty to care for the welfare of their minor children (under 18 years of age). Especially for children under 16, a music festival can lead to severe physical and mental stress, so we cannot make a general recommendation for attendance. The decision to allow children to attend public music events (including travel to and stay at the event venue) is the responsibility of the parents, taking into account the Youth Protection Act.<\/p>\n
The minimum age for attending the E-tropolis Festival is 12 years. Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted!<\/p>\n
Children under 16 may only attend public music events if they are accompanied by their parents or by an adult who has been granted written parental authority by the parents.<\/p>\n
Young people aged 16 and over and under 18 may attend public music events unaccompanied. However, they must leave the event grounds by midnight at the latest! They may only remain on the event grounds after midnight if accompanied by their parents or by an adult who has been granted written parental authority by the parents.<\/p>\n
The form for the written transfer of legal guardianship can be found here. The form must be completed in full and signed by the parents. Furthermore, the form must be carried by the legal guardian accompanying the minor for the entire duration of the event and must be presented together with the minor’s identity card in case of any queries. Young people aged 16 and over are also requested to carry their identity card with them in case of a check.<\/p>\n
In addition to the rules for participating in the event, the legal restrictions regarding the consumption of alcohol and tobacco products must also be observed at all times.
